Six-week class with Dr. Julie Desch, starting Tuesday, May 28, at 5:00 pm PT (8:00 pm ET) and continuing each Tuesday until July 2.

Mindfulness meditation is known to lower stress and symptoms of anxiety and depression.

This class will utilize practices from the Unified Mindfulness system of Shinzen Young, a very user-friendly and practical way to learn to meditate that easily carries over into daily life. We will learn four specific techniques, how to use them both formally and informally, in stillness and in motion, and how to work with them to address the stress of living with an illness. The practices are short but powerful and there will be targeted homework to improve motivation and momentum between classes.

Mostly, we will have fun learning a new skill that will carry on well past our time together.
